A GLASGOW Nando’s has been praised for donating food to a homeless man.

The touching incident came to light online after a customer praised staff from the Sauchiehall Street branch of the popular chicken restaurant.

Twitter user Andrew Carnegie highlighted the touching moment online.

He wrote: “Big thank you @NandosUK Sauchiehall Street Glasgow.

“I asked to buy a meal for homeless guy outside & they already donate end of evening to a charity.

“They put a full meal together & took it out to him,refusing payment

“If only all fast food restaurants were so caring.”

Nando’s thanked him for “sharing the love,” to which Andrew responded: “TBH It’s a privilege to see a modern corporate acting with compassion.

“The thanks are all yours and your team in Glasgow.”

River City actor Tom Urie also responded by saying: “The Sauchiehall St restaurant is the best one in Glasgow, the staff are brilliant.”
