A PARAGLIDER was taken to hospital after crashing in Rhynie.

Police said they were called out at 10.25am today to the Tap of North due to reports of a crashed paraglider.

A spokesman said officers from the Huntly and Alford community policing team traced the man with help from members of the public.

The paraglider was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Police said he had suffered a suspected broken leg.
