Edinburgh's new iconic Market Street hotel has officially opened for bookings in the heart of the Old Town. 

Located at a key gap site in the heart of Edinburgh's UNESCO World Heritage site, the hotel has been a highly-anticipated arrival in the city.

Market Street hotel will feature 98 urban boutique style rooms including one suite, as well as the highly anticipated champagne lounge, the Nor’ Loft.

The bar was named after the Nor’ Loch which filled the space now known as Princes Street Gardens between the 15th and 17th century.

The eight-storey hotel at 6 Market Street on derelict land between Craig’s Close and City Arts Centre has already won architectural plaudits for the way its original contemporary design.

The hotel, designed by FG Stijl, is due to open in May, with bookings available from mid-June.
