A GLASGOW teacher faces being struck off after they allegedly pushed pupil and put their hand down pocket of another youngster's blouse.

The teacher, who has not been identified, is accused of pushing an S3 pupil, known as pupil B, on his body, grabbing him by the arm and pushing him again on September 19, 2013.

Days later on September 25, the teacher is accused of removing cigarettes from a girl in S2, known as pupil C, by putting their hand into the top pocket of her blouse.

The alleged incident caused the youngster "alarm and distress".

Then again on October 1, the teacher is reported to have acted in an aggressive and intimidating manner towards the head teacher.

It's not known which city school the alleged incidents occurred.

The individual will now go before the General Teaching Council for Scotland board to determine whether their fitness to teach is impaired.

The hearing, which begins today, is expected to last for three days.

Glasgow City Council has been contacted for comment.
