Rachel Lloyd, director at Message House, has been announced as one of the main speakers for The Herald and 
GenAnalytics EngAGE Conference – Festival of Ageing, in association with the Scottish Government

Ms Lloyd leads the research on longevity to help clients explore its implications and will be speaking about how this can affect businesses and the economy at the conference, which is on Thursday, May 23 at Glasgow Caledonian University

With nearly 20 years’ experience in strategy and research, Ms Lloyd has supported a diverse range of clients on 
corporate communications, brand strategy and behaviour change messaging. 

She is a Unilever approved Lead Researcher and Moderator and has extensive experience conducting qualitative research with hard-to-reach and elite audiences.

Dr Lesley Sawers OBE, Director of GenAnalytics, has said of the event: “Scotland has the potential to become one of the most age-friendly economies in the world, but we need to work with partners across government, the third sector, academia, the private sector and individuals to achieve this ambition. 

“That’s why we are bringing together a host of experts to start the dialogue at EngAGE this year. 

“We know there are challenges as our population gets older but there are also significant opportunities and untapped potential. This is what we want to focus on in May.”

Joining Ms Lloyd will be Esther Roberton, chairwoman of NHS 24. She has held the post since 2015 and has served as a non-executive director of the Scottish Ambulance Service from 2014-18 and with Scottish Government from 2014-17.

Before that Ms Roberton was chairwoman of NHS Fife and the Scottish Further Education Funding Council. 
She has a strong track record in service user and stakeholder involvement and a commitment to the economic and social development of Scotland and will be speaking to our delegates about the 100-Year Life, focusing on health and wellbeing.

With Esther experience it will no doubt be an insightful and worthwhile keynote at the event and The Herald and GenAnalytics look forward to welcoming both Rachel and Esther to what promises to be a fantastic event TThe aim of the event is to help drive change and help achieve the ambition of a more age-friendly society. 

With several speakers still to be announced Scotland’s EngAGE  the conference will also feature an open access, free public exhibition that will be accessible to conference delegates and the public. The event is in association with the Scottish Government and supported by Glasgow Caledonian University and NTT DATA.
