Around 100,000 people are expected to take part in a pro-Scottish independence march today.

Organisers All Under One Banner have described the expected turnout as a 'tsunami'.

It comes just weeks after Nicola Sturgeon laid out plans to hold another independence referendum before May 2021.

The announcement has been met with backlash from the Prime Minister but has fuelled what is believed to be the largest independence rally by AUOB.

The procession will leave from Kelvingrove Park at 1.30pm, and make its way through the city centre to its resting point in Glasgow Green.

It will pass through the following streets: Kelvingrove Park, Kelvinway, Gibson Street, Eldon Street, Woodlands Road, Sauchiehall Street, Pitt Street, West George Street, Blythswood Square (S), West George Street, Nelson Mandela Place, West George Street, George Square, George Street, High Street, Saltmarket, Glasgow Green.

A number of roads are set to close to make way for the march, and public transport service providers have issued advice to passengers planning to travel during the day.
