The organiser of a pro-independence march that saw thousands take to the streets of Glasgow has been reported by police

39-year-old Manny Singh has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal for failing to comply with conditions imposed on the march.

The All Under One Banner march took place on Saturday, May 4th.

It comes after the group were ordered to change the start time to 11am by the Public Processions Committee back in April, due to concerns for public safety and disruption to the community.

However, the order was ignored with organisers continuing to tell participants to meet at 1pm in Kelvingrove Park before heading off at 1.30pm.

Police and fire chiefs were among those calling for the event time to be changed.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Police can confirm that a 39-year-old man will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal for failing to comply with conditions imposed on a procession."

The offence relates to the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982.

Police estimated that 30-35,000 people were at Glasgow Green for the rally, where a number of speakers and musical acts appeared on a stage in the park.

Organisers said the number was near 100,000.

All Under One Banner have urged followers to support the organiser on their social media.

The group previously blamed political bias for the "eleventh-hour" involvement of Glasgow City Council.
