Detectives investigating a firearms incident in Glasgow are appealing for anyone who seen a car around the time of the incident to come forward.

A firearm was discharged at the front windows of two homes on Drummore Road in Drumchapel, around 11pm on Friday.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

Enquiries carried out so far have revealed that a white, 5-door VW Golf, with tinted windows, was seen in the area around the time of the incident.

The vehicle was seen moments before travelling west on Kinfauns Drive, before turning into Peel Glen Road and turning into Drummore Road.

Shortly after the firearm was discharged, the car sped off, up Peel Glen Road towards the Bearsden, Milngavie areas.

Officers are continuing to review CCTV footage for any additional information which could assist the investigation.

Detective Inspector John Morrison said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have seen this car to contact us.

"No-one was injured in the incident, however it’s imperative we trace whoever is responsible. I am urging anyone who may have seen this car, in particular motorists, with dash cam footage, to check their footage as it may have captured vital information.
