The family of missing Glasgow man Bryan Glencross have posted a heartbreaking tribute after his body was found in the River Clyde.

Police confirmed they had recovered a body from the river on Thursday, and it is believed to be that of the 40-year-old.

Bryan from Kingsway Court, Scotstoun, was last seen leaving the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) on Friday, May 31 at around 3.30am.

His daughter Khloe, 19, gave birth to a baby girl on Monday afternoon, giving Bryan his first grandchild.

Posting to Facebook, his family wrote: "We would like to thank everyone for the support given to us all over the past 3 weeks whilst Bryan was missing.

"Unfortunately it was not the outcome we had hoped for.

"As a family we are devastated and have no idea how we will move on from this.

"Sleeptight Bryan, you were loved so much."

A post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death which officers are currently treating as unexplained.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
