A victim of revenge porn has issued Scots a stark warning after a file named 'Airdrie' surfaced on an X-rated website.

Intimate pictures on the dodgy site have been blasted by victim Bailey, 20, from Grimsby.

It is understood she spotted a private snap she sent to her ex-boyfriend when she was under the age of 18 on the web page.

It is feared there may well be thousands of pictures of women and girls from Glasgow and the surrounding areas - including Airdrie - after a file was shared using the same name as the Scots town.

Grimsby Live reports that devastated Bailey warned others to be careful about what they share.

She said: "Recently, me and a friend have, let’s say, ‘found out’ about a website (that you can also download an app from) that includes indecent pictures of young girls and grown women all over the world.

"Thousands and thousands of files, named with every place you can think of."

She added: "You could 100% tell that these pictures were not intended to end up on the internet like this until THIS DAY."

It is a criminal offence to disclose private sexual photos with 'intent to cause distress'.
