Lewis Capaldi has begged Tinder to get in touch after the unlucky-in-love singer changed mobile numbers and lost all his matches.

The Glasgow crooner, 22, played TRNSMT on Sunday evening but had other things on his mind after missing out on potential lovers after the mix-up.

Chatting with STV, Capaldi explained how he had to swap numbers after a random punter called him at 6am one morning to "tell him he was alright".

And after the change in digits proved costly, Capaldi has urged matchmakers Tinder to help him out by allowing him into his "paid for Tinder Gold account".

He said: "Tinder, I've been locked out my account.

"I changed numbers recently because someone got a hold of it and phoned me up like 'me and the troops from Glasgow wanna say you're alright'.

"I'm like 'why you phoning me?!' it was at six in the morning, so I had to change my number.

"Tinder if you're out there and listening I need to get back into my old account because I paid for Tinder Gold.

"If you could help me out just give me a call and we'll sort out my Tinder Gold account because I lost all my matches."

One man who will undoubtedly have no sympathy for Lewis' disappointment is Oasis icon Noel Gallagher.

The pair have become embroiled in a bizarre spat after High Flying Birds frontman Noel branded Capaldi an "idiot" before he attacked Scotland and labelled it a "third world country".
