IT is only in its second year, but Comic Con Scotland has some big names lined up for its 2019 convention, with a little something to suit everyone, from fans of Back to the Future to admirers of Game of Thrones.

When is it taking place?

The Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston, Edinburgh, on October 12 and 13.

So who will be there?

For such a young event, it’s proving to be a big draw - top of the bill this year is Belgian action hero Jean Claude Van Damme, star of movies such as Kickboxer, Street Fighter and The Expendables 2.

And you can buy the ‘Platinum JCVD Experience?’
You sure can - for a tidy £495, 50 people can have a “unique once in a lifetime experience”.
For that price, you receive a package that includes a signed photograph in a commemorative frame, a professional photo with the 58-year-old actor and tickets to an intimate talk about his life and career, after which he will do a “meet and greet” around the audience, which is limited to only 50 people. You also get a JCVD goodie bag.

Who else is attending?

You don’t need to go Back to the Future to meet none other than “Doc” from the hit 1980s movies, as actor Christopher Lloyd will be there.
Organisers describe the 80-year-old as a “living legend” and say they are “so happy to be able to bring him to Scotland”.
As well as playing Doc Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy alongside Michael J Fox, he made his screen debut in the 1975 movie, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and also appeared in The Addams Family movies and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Any other stars?
Scots actor Rory McCann, who played The Hound in Game of Thrones, will be in attendance, as will Burt Young, from the Oscar winning Rocky movies.
He played Rocky Balboa's brother-in-law and best friend Paulie Pennino in the classic series.
And each star will be doing a Q&A.

Judge Reinhold will be there?
Not just Judge Reinhold, star of classic 1980s movies Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Gremlins and Vice Versa, but John Ashton, who co-starred with Judge and Eddie Murphy in the hit Beverly Hills Cop movies. Both actors are appearing all weekend.

If you’re a Sons of Anarchy Fan?
Then you aren’t going to believe your luck. The series ended five years ago, but still has a huge following and at the Scots event, there will be a Sons of Anarchy "Meet 'n' Greet" for £225.
Organisers say: "You will be able to spend time away from the Comic Con crowd with Tommy Flanagan, Kim Coates and Mark Boone Junior and will receive a professionally shot triple photo of you and the guys along with autographs  from all three and you will be able to take free selfies with them too.”

Who ya gonna call?
The “Ghostbusters of Glasgow” will be among the cosplay guests.
They are made up of a group of dedicated Ghostbusters fans who, in their spare time, attend comic cons, charity events and personal appearances to help raise awareness and money for various charities across Glasgow and Scotland.

Last year’s event was a big hit?
Knight Rider’s David Hasselhoff was among the guests, along with The Incredible Hulk star Lou Ferrigno and Ghostbuster legends Ernie Hudson, Ray Parker Junior and William Atherton.
This year, Knight Rider’s car, KITT, will be there, as well as the set of the kitchen in Gremlins, the forest in E.T. and Doc's car, the DeLorean time machine, offering fans a range of top notch photo opportunities.
