The Cure will light up Glasgow tonight for the first time in 27 years - but how is the weather looking?

They'll be supported by a stellar line-up including The Twilight Sad, Mogwai and The Joy Formidable, but some Scots are nervous that Glasgow's weather will not hold up.

Make sure you aren't caught out in the rain with our hour-by-hour forecast:

3pm

As most music lovers begin their journey to Bellahouston Park, the weather is set to be cloudy - with a low chance of rain. It marks the beginning of the hottest part of the day, with temperatures of 19C, and just a 10% chance of rain.

4pm - Gates open

Ticket-holders will be allowed access to the site from 4pm onwards, and the weather looks to be much the same as the previous hour. It will feel slightly warmer, and chances of rain remain at a low 10%.

5pm - The Joy Formidable

The first act of the night is to take to the stage at approximately 4.40pm, and the gig is entirely outdoors. But it looks like while The Joy Formidable is in full swing, the weather will be at its worst.

There is a 50% chance of rain, and skies will turn very dark and cloudy for the hour. The silver-lining? It looks like 5pm-6pm will be the worst weather of the day. So it can't really go downhill from there.

6pm - The Twilight Sad

Luckily, the weather will improve from the previous hour for the second act, with chances of rains decreasing to 10%. The Twilight Sad will perform from 5.40pm, and it'll still be a tad cloudy - but the main thing to watch out for is the muddy/sludgy ground leftover from the hour before.

7pm - Mogwai

The last support act of the night, Mogwai will begin performing a 6.55pm, and from here on out, the weather will improve. The possibility of rain remains at a low 10%, and temperatures will continue to be around 18/19C.

8pm - The Cure

The most difficult part of the night - the wait between the last support and the main act. But when The Cure take to the stage at 8.30pm, Bellahouston Park could be seeing some sunshine for the first time this evening before it sets at 8.52pm.

Temperatures remain at 18C, and rain chances are very low.

9pm-11pm

The Cure's set should last until around 11pm, and the weather looks much the same for the rest of the night.

The sun is expected to set just before 9pm, and so the park will experience cloud, low chances of rain and an average temperature of 16.5C for the remainder of the night.

12am (Saturday)

There are extra public transport services scheduled for after the gig, and the weather will work out in the favour of the thousands headed home. Rain levels will hit the lowest they've been at all day, with Glasgow having less than a 5% chance of a late-night shower.
