A fire has broken out near the SECC with emergency services rushing to the scene.
Images shared on social media show black smoke billowing outside the famous venue with fire crews now at the scene.

A spokeswoman for the Scottish Event Campus confirmed that the fire was in a small skip.
She added that the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were in attendance and 'everything was under control'.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were alerted at 1.39pm on Wednesday, August 21 to reports of a fire within a container at the SEC in Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the scene and firefighters are working to extinguish the flames.”
