Police have resolved an incident at Falkirk Grahamston station following reports of a man with a knife.

Police attended following concern for a man with local and specialist officers attending following reports of a man with a knife.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in Falkirk responded to Meeks Road at around 8.50am on Thursday 22nd August following report of concern for the wellbeing of a man.

"Local and specialist officers remain in attendance to engage with the man and ensure this incident is resolved safely."

Scotrail said in a statement: The police have dealt with the incident and have now cleared the station. Arrangements are now being made to reinstate services, but delays and cancellations may still be experienced."
