Celtic captain Scott Brown was victim of a horrific taunt about the death of his sister by a fan outside Ibrox in the aftermath of Sunday's Old Firm clash.

The Hoops skipper was leaving the stadium to board the team bus when a yob approached him.

As Brown prepared to head onto the bus, the supporter believed to be a Rangers fan, asked: "How's your sister?"

Brown stared down the troll but was clearly angry and disappointed to receive such vile abuse.

To their credit other Gers supporters stepped in and urged the yob to leave, claiming his comments were "out of order".

Police were also on hand to escort him away.

A clip was posted online and racked up thousands of views and shares.

Fans came to Brown's defence and left messages of support.
