Ex-Celtic star Tony Watt has aimed a dig at Brendan Rodgers while slating Leicester City ace Youri Tielemans for claiming Scotland are no better than San Marino.

Watt, who himself has one Scotland cap, blasted Belgium's midfield ace Tielemans for his scathing comments comparing Scots to the European minnows.

Tielemans recently boasted that the Red Devils expect more space at Hampden than they'd get against San Marino and claimed Steve Clarke's men will be just as defensive.

But former Hoops youngster Watt slammed the playmaker's jibe - while also managing to squeeze in a verbal poke at Brendan Rodgers.

Watt, posting a tweet referencing Tielemans' comments, said: "We already had reason not to support Leicester.

"Come on to f*^k youri lad..."

His post racked up hundreds of likes and shares.

And plenty of punters agreed with Watt's reasoning.

One said: "Just wait til John McGinn gets a hold of him."

Another added: "That headline should be used in the prematch team talk!"

Others were less than critical of Tielemans - because they AGREED.
