A PERSON has been hit by a train near Broughty Ferry, bringing disruption to services.

Emergency services have raced to the scene and services between Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. Services are expected to be disrupted till the end of Friday night.

ScotRail say the person was struck by a train between Broughty Ferry and Balmossie, and that they are "working with emergency services".

It says services between Edinburgh and Aberdeen, and Glasgow Queen Street and Aberdeen will be delayed or revised. 

Three night services had been cancelled as of 10.39pm as a result of the incident..   They were the 10.07pm  Arbroath to Dundee service, the 11.02pm Montrose to Aberdeen trip and the 11.19pm Edinburgh to Perth journey.
