Celtic and Rangers will go head to head in the second round of the Scottish FA Youth Cup.

The Old Firm derby for the Under-18s was announced by Celtic’s academy account on Twitter yesterday afternoon.

They wrote: “#CelticFC's U18s have been drawn against Rangers in the second round of the @ScottishFA Youth Cup.

“Full fixture details to be confirmed.”

The last time these two sides faced each other was last season’s final back in April when the Gers won 3-2 and lifted the trophy for the first time in five years.

Rangers started the riveting game at Hampden 2-0 up after just six minutes with goals from Ciaran Dickson and Dapo Mebude.

But within three minutes of the second half Cameron Harper and Paul Kennedy brought the Hoops level.

In the end it was Nathan Young-Coombes who was the winner of the match after his header in the 65th minute ended up the winning goal for Rangers.
