Glasgow subway is on temporary lock down after a 'passenger incident' has occured at Bridge Street Station. 

One eyewitness claimed on Twitter to have seen a "guy missing half his ear, clothing covered in blood screaming uncontrollably at Bridge Street subway" adding that there were "loads of first responders on scene."

Another eyewitness took to social media to claim that a 'blind man' had fallen on the tracks with his guidedog just before midday.

Both circles are currently suspended and emergency services have been called to the scene. 

SPT heads wrote on the Glasgow Subway Twitter:

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We received a call at 11.59 hours to attend an incident Glasgow's Bridge Street Subway station. We sent an ambulance, a critical care advanced practitioner, the trauma team and the special operations response team to scene.

"One male patient was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital travelling with the trauma team.”

British Transport Police have been contacted for comment.
