Glasgow’s gorgeous girls lift their Times Tots prizes

The winner of the ninth competition was two-year-old Aisla Maiden, who beat more than 650 other little ones to the crown.

Aisla and her family, who live in Springboig, will be joining the jet-set with their prizes – a £1500 travel gift card for Stewart Travel and Jet2 Holidays, £1000 cash and a £250 Forge Shopping Centre gift card.

Runners-up were Savariah Roberts and Rachael Clark.

Savariah, who is the youngest at only four months old, won a £250 Forge gift card and two-year-old Rachael won a £150 gift card.

Her mother, Iona Camley, 31, from Balornock East, said she enteredtold the Evening Times after seeing the competition advertised in the paper.

“We just thought, let’s give it ago and see how far she’ll get. 

“She was only eight weeks at the time.

“I woke her dad up at half six in the morning to tell him she came runner-up. 

“We’re going to spend the money on her... probably,” Iona laughed. “Her winnings have just won her Christmas. 

“We’re definitely going to enter her next year. 

“I’ve kept all the articles to show her when she’s older.”

Rachael’s mother, Debbie Griffiths, 41, from Partick, buys the Evening Times every day and entered her daughter after she saw the competition advertised. 

“Rachael loves getting her photograph taken,” she said. “We’re going to buy her some boots for Christmas.”

All three girls also get a framed photograph and Times Tot certificate.

The ceremony was held at The Forge shopping centre, where Jacqui Findlay from Stewart Travel presented Aisla’s family with their vouchers, which they are going to spend on a holiday to Majorca. 

“We are absolutely over the moon to have found out that Aisla has won,” Claire said.

“Aisla is a wee poser so she has absolutely loved the experience,” said her mother.
