Police investigation launched after man raped in Edinburgh
Police in Edinburgh have received a report of a serious sexual assault involving a man in the Ainslie Park area of Pilton.
It is thought that the incident took place on a cycle path nearby.
A 36-year-old male is thought to be the victim.
It is understood the incident may have taken place on a nearby cycle path.
A spokeswoman said: "Police in Edinburgh are investigating a report that a 36-year-old man was the victim of a serious sexual assault in the Pilton area in the early hours of Monday, 28 October.
