A CAR has been deliberately set alight in Pollokshaws.
Police confirmed that they are investigating the deliberate fire on the white Kia Sportage which was parked on Shawbridge Street.
Officers were called at 10.20 pm last night. The force added that the vehicle has been extensively damaged.
Last night, residents said crime scene photographers were gathering evidence in the aftermath of the blaze.
One resident told The Evening Times that the car alarm went off around 10 minutes before the vehicle exploded.

A force spokeswoman said: "Enquiries are continuing."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman added: “Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene to extinguish the flames. They left after making the area safe.”
