AN East End community will mark the start of the festive season by switching on their Christmas lights next month.
Baillieston will officially celebrate Christmas with the switch on event on December 1 between 3 pm and 6 pm.
Locals are asked to gather at the tree opposite Tiger Lee.

There will be rides and entertainment from a singer, food stalls from local businesses, a Christmas market and a free gift from Santa for the youngsters.
The event is free and has been organised by Brighter Baillieston.
