Over 40 football fans have been detained or arrested outside Feyneoord’s De Kuip stadium following Rangers Europa League clash with the Dutch giants.
Police in the Netherlands reported no “major incidents” in the hours before or after the match, but confirmed dozens had been ‘detained’ by officers, with several more arrested.
Officers told the NL Times website most of those targeted by authorities were Dutch, but did release a breakdown of numbers.
In total, 42 fans were subjected to police orders, the website reported - most for minor offences involving pyrotechnics or public intoxication.
Rangers picked up a vital point courtesy of a 2-2 draw thanks to an Alfredo Morelos double, however it was not enough for the Ibrox side to book their place in the knockout stage.
A spokesman for Amsterdam police told the website more than 600 Rangers fans watched the match in the city without making the trip South, but reported no major incidents involving supporters.
