A SCOTS actor has appeared in court charged with an assault on a man.
Paul Brannigan, 33, is accused of attacking David Brannigan, 29, on New Year’s Day in Glasgow’s Gallowgate area.
Prosecutors claim Brannigan repeatedly stabbed David to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
Brannigan made no plea at Glasgow Sheriff Court and was bailed by Sheriff Paul Reid pending further examination.
David was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment after the an incident on Wednesday morning.
Brannigan has appeared in BBC soap River City and featured in movies such as The Angel’s Share and Sunshine on Leith.
