RADIO star George Bowie has surprised one of his biggest GBX fans - and he has even given her a special shoutout on his show.
The popular Clyde 1 personality showed his appreciation for 52-year-old Janet Leach by popping in to see her at the Ashgill Care Home in Milton.
His visit comes after he learned that Janet and other residents regularly listen to his popular dance anthems show GBX at the weekend.
Janet has gone through a difficult time recently having lost her mum - and senior carer Alexis Findlay organised the surprise to cheer her up.
She said: "Janet is one of the loveliest women you can ever meet and sadly she lost her mum.
"She loves GBX and I thought I would get in touch with George to see if he can come in.
"I sent an e-mail explaining Janet's story and he replied to say he would come in."
George mingled with care home residents and staff on Thursday - and even gave them a shoutout on the radio on Friday morning.
Alexis said: "Residents who receive all aspects of care including dementia recently took part in a GBX night we had.
"They were all dancing and it was a brilliant atmosphere."
She added: "We play the show on our phones and set up a wee strobe disco light, and the residents love it.
"They love the beat and the staff getting involved. When the residents see the staff involved it makes them want to do it."

And while most of those living in the care home appreciate the GBX sound, it is clear that George only has one fan.
Alexis said: "We were nearly crying when Janet saw George. She had a big smile on her face.
"It was amazing to see her excited to see George who was there to see her."
She added: "George is absolutely amazing."

GBX is one of the most popular shows on Clyde 1. Hosted by George Bowie, the Friday and Saturday night show is packed with dance anthems and showcases remixes by local talent.
