Robby McCrorie has been thrown straight into the deep end at Livingston after having his loan deal at Queen of the South cut short by Rangers yesterday.
The young goalkeeper had been at Palmerston this term on a season-long loan but Steven Gerrard made the decision to recall him after learning of interest from Gary Holt's Premiership Lions.
McCrorie, 21, has now been drafted into the starting XI at the Tony Macaroni Arena for their game against St Johnstone.

Manager Holt was forced to bring in a new stopper after Matija Sarkic was brought back to Aston Villa early from his loan deal. New signing Ryan Schofield, from Huddersfield Town, picked up a knock on his debut.
Steven Gerrard admitted he was disappointed at letting down the Doonhamers - but the opportunity for McCrorie to get experience in Scotland's top tier was too good to pass up. "Robbie has done a great job at Queen of the South and they have been great for him," he said.
"But the opportunity to play a division above is great for his development and future potential at Rangers. Both McCrorie brothers are two model professionals of the game."
