This is the hilarious moment a Glasgow 'puppy play' couple come face-to-face with a real dog and owner.

The pair caused a stir online yesterday after their bizarre antics were caught on camera being quizzed by police.

Shocked roofer Iain Mcgeough, 34, went viral after showing two officers questioning the pair on Cathcart Road.

She told the Glasgow Times: "I was in shock at the beginning, I thought I was seeing things until I began to pass them and that’s when I saw the collar and leash in all its glory.

"They were so casual and discussing the weather and traffic lights as if she wasn’t dressed the way she was.

"At one point they were standing next to an owner and her actual dog at the traffic lights, the lady was in shock.

"It was so funny seeing her standing next to an actual dog on a lead".

In the clip, a driver can be heard beeping its car horn at the pair, while the dog seems intrigued as to what is going on.

The act of dressing up as a dog proved an eye-opener after being put in the spotlight in the Channel 4 documentary 'The Secret Life of Human Pups' in 2016.

The programme gave an in-depth look at a previously unknown world of what is referred to as 'human puppy play' where ordinary people live double lives as man's best friend.

According to the Telegraph, there are over 10,000 members of the 'puppy play' scene in the UK - with full costumes setting you back thousands of pounds.

The Glasgow Times yesterday contacted Police Scotland regarding their questioning of the couple but are yet to have a response.

It is understood that no arrests were made.
