THE Glasgow Evening Times has appeared in hit BBC primetime drama The Nest.

The newspaper featured in the opening scenes of episode two which aired on Sunday.

The five-part drama was written by BAFTA award-winning Glaswegian writer Nicole Taylor and explores a surrogacy pact between a wealthy couple and a teenage girl.

Glasgow Times:

The newspaper, which recently changed its name to the Glasgow Times, can be seen in a scene with actress Mirren Mack who plays Kaya.

She is walking along Arygle Street towards Trongate when she spots one of our news stands and the headline, 'Body found in the Clyde identified'.

The Nest also stars Martin Compston and Sophie Rundle.

Glasgow Times:

Martin Compston previously said in an interview in the Glasgow Times: “It was refreshing to be involved in something which is an absolute page-turner without the need for a load of violence. There is an air of danger throughout, which is a credit to Nicole’s amazing writing.

“It’s exciting and really fires along. When you think it’s going to go one way, it goes the other. Nicole said to me a while ago she would be writing a part with me in mind. You hear that a lot and it never happens. The fact it actually happened … I was chuffed to bits."

The Nest continues at 9pm on Sunday on BBC One. The final two episodes will be shown on consecutive nights across Easter weekend: Sunday and Monday April 12 and 13 at 9pm on BBC One.
