ONE of Scotland's best-loved comedy characters has told the public to "stay in the hoose" to stop the spread of coronavirus.
In a hilarious new video, the BBC's Gary Tank Commander warned viewers to stay indoors, wash their hands and to keep a safe distance from others when outdoors.

The Scottish funnyman - played by Greg McHugh, said: "Dinnae go to illegal karaoke parties, dinnae go to hoose parties."

But, said Scotland's funniest squaddie, going out for cheesy pasta is okay - as long as you keep a safe distance from others when outside.
McHugh's comic creation put his own spin on social distancing rules, advising the public to keep two metres apart - or "freaky Stevie laid down on the street" distance from each other.
