JASON CUMMINGS has taken a cheeky swipe at his namesake Dominic following allegations he broke coronavirus lockdown rules.
The prime minister’s chief adviser travelled 260 miles with his family to be near relatives when his wife developed Covid-19 symptoms.
And Mr Cummings is now facing calls from Labour and some Tory MPs to resign.
Ahead of his public statement this afternoon, former Rangers and Hibs striker Jason Cummings has hilariously fired a jibe at the PM’s right hand man.
Posting a photo of himself alongside the senior aide, Cummings said: “Sick of this man tarnishing my name.
"It’s time he steps down and the real Cumdog takes over."
Nicola Sturgeon has called on Dominic Cummings to admit he made a mistake and apologise to the nation.
Asked what she would like to hear Mr Cummings say to the British people, Ms Sturgeon said: "Perhaps concede that he made a mistake, that he didn't follow the rules, and instead of trying to retrospectively rewrite those rules, to admit he made a mistake and apologise for that.
"That aside, there are lots of detailed questions about his account and the account that was given afterwards by his wife of his isolation that don't to me seem to tally up, but I'm sure there are many journalists who will put those questions to him."
