As Innovation Week starts today from online, a new competition is launched asking students to re-imagine Glasgow's businesses.

Data Lab, Scotland's Innovation Centre for data and AI, and Glasgow Chamber of Commerce initiative Circular Glasgow have partnered on Innovation Week for the competition.

Innovation Week is the flagship event in The Data Lab’s Masters programme, which is run in partnership with 12 universities throughout Scotland.

The week-long event, curated by Design Thinkers Academy, brings together data science students and industry experts for one last project before graduating, with the aim to solve a real life challenge faced by real businesses.

This year, Innovation Week is taking place digitally, with students participating from their homes in Scotland and further afield, including Iceland, Finland and Greece.

The challenge has been set by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce initiative, Circular Glasgow, and students have been tasked with considering how Glasgow’s businesses might take action to create a world-leading circular city.

The competition runs throughout the week.

Circular Glasgow is a movement to inspire businesses of all sizes to innovate and become future-proof by adopting circular strategies.
