Hundreds of travel jobs have been put at risk as TUI have announced they will be closing 166 of their UK stores.
There are currently eight stores within the Glasgow area, however it is currently unknown how many of the 26 Scottish stores will close.
The holiday firm said that the closures come after changes in customer behaviour.
Managing director, Andrew Flintham, said: “We want to be in the best position to provide excellent customer service, whether it’s in a high street store, over the telephone or online, and will continue to put the customer at the heart of what we do.
“It is therefore imperative that we make these difficult cost decisions, look after our colleagues during such unprecedented uncertainty and also offer a modern customer service.”
