A man was attacked by two men in the East End in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Emergency services raced to a home in Edinburgh Road around 3.40am and the man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
Officers continue to hunt for the two men but are following a positive lead in connection with the incident.

The road remained closed this morning between its junctions with Sutherness Drive and Greyfriars Street.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on 1010 quoting incident 0919 of 9 August, 2020."
