NICOLA Sturgeon says future lockdowns will need to be “tailored” to specific instances of coronavirus outbreaks.
Speaking at today’s conronavirus briefing the First Minister said that any future lockdowns will not follow a “one-size-fits-all approach”.
The First Minister cited the local Aberdeen lockdown as an example.
She said: “I think we’ve got to be increasingly careful of using lockdown as a one-size-fits-all approach.
“We have to take steps if necessary to deal with outbreaks and those steps have to be tailored to the specific circumstances and causes of the outbreak.

“In Aberdeen we had an outbreak that very definetly appeared to have started and spread in the night-time economy.
“There part of what we had to do there was then restrict hospitality.”
Sturgeon was speaking after 160 cases of coronavirus were reported today.
The First Minister said she felt “a greater sense of anxiety today” than at any time “probably for the last couple of months”.
