A grand jury has indicted one officer on criminal charges six months after Breonna Taylor was fatally shot by police in Kentucky.

The emergency worker was killed by police officers who burst into her home at night.

The jury presented its decision against Brett Hankison, who was fired on June 23, on Wednesday to a judge in Louisville.

Ms Taylor was shot multiple times by officers who had burst into her home on March 13 as part of a narcotics investigation.

No drugs were found in Ms Taylor's home.
