COPS are on the hunt for a thug who hospitalised a man following an attack in the West End. 

The 33-year-old was rushed to the Royal Infirmary after being pounced on by a brute on Panmure Street on Sunday. 

He sustained serious facial injuries when he was attacked at around 6.15pm.

The victim remains in hospital where medics describe his condition as "stable".

The suspect is described as a white male, early 30s, of slim build with dark scruffy hair and stubble. He was wearing a grey/black jumper and dark jeans.

Detective Constable Paul Corr, of Maryhill CID, said: “We are now appealing for witnesses to assist with our investigation. 

“Anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident or who may have dash-cam footage, should contact police by calling 101 and quoting incident number 2832 of 11 October.”
