COPS rushed to a Renfrewshire street after a group of youths "wreaked havoc" this evening.

Officers were called to Paisley at around 6.50pm when the alarm was raised about the teenagers.

The youngsters were broken up by police on Oakshaw Street West and Oakshaw Street East and booze was taken from them.

An eye-witness, who asked not to be named, said: "It's a joke. This is the fourth time this week that we've had trouble on the street.

"Every school holiday drunken bams come up the street and cause damage to cars and property.

"They come up here because it's a quick access point through the town to the west end of Paisley.

"This is a part of the town steeped in history and more needs to be done to clamp down on this behaviour."
