Catherine Barr said: “The entire school community is in deep shock at the sudden death of our dear friend and colleague Jennifer Stirling.
“Jennifer was a P3 teacher and was greatly loved and admired by her pupils and colleagues.
"She brought so much enthusiasm to the school, particularly her passion for outdoor learning.
"She was our probationer from August 2017 and remained with us, eventually securing a permanent vacancy, which we were delighted about.

"She was a highly dedicated teacher and was very popular with pupils, staff and parents.
"She enjoyed working outdoors with her class when we ran the Forest School initiative, she also joined the P7s for their extended outing.
“Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this sad time.”
Staff and pupils at the school are being given support by North Lanarkshire Council bosses.
