AN EAST Lothian man has appeared in court on petition to face charges of assault to injury and danger to life following an alleged robbery in Tranent.
James Langford, 39, appeared in private from custody at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last Wednesday.
Langford, whose address was only given as Musselburgh, is facing allegations of assault to injury, danger to life and attempt to rob.
He is also charged with assault and attempted robbery and to being in possession of a bladed weapon.
Langford made no plea and he was remanded in custody.
The case was committed for further examination and he was due to appear back at the city court within eight days.
