A YOB who turned on his disabled neighbour by branding her a “fat b*****d” - then shoving a hamburger through her letterbox was jailed on Wednesday for 14 months.
Alan Harvey, 39, flew into a rage at Elizabeth Britton after she told him to “get a grip” following a disturbance at flats in Glasgow’s Drumchapel.
The frightened 63-year-old quickly tried to close the door on Harvey.
But, prosecutor Mark Allan told Glasgow Sheriff Court: “He began shouting and swearing at her.
“He calling her a ‘fat b*****d’ and other derogatory comments.”
“Harvey then shoved some food - a hamburger - through her letterbox.”
He went on to call his neighbour “handicapped”.
Harvey was later stopped by a concierge at the flats and found to have a four-inch knife.
When police then turned up, he was also clutching two metal poles.
Harvey pleaded guilty to acting in a threatening and abusive manner towards Miss Britton aggravated by prejudice to her disability.
He also admitted possession of the knife, metal poles and breaching bail.
Sheriff Martin Jones also imposed a 12 month non-harassment order preventing Harvey from contacting the victim.
