A flood alert has been issued for many parts of Scotland with more rain forecast for much of the country.
The Scottish Environment Protection Agency issued the warning for Ayrshire and Arran, Dumfries and Galloway, Scottish Borders and West Central Scotland.

A spokesperson said: "From late afternoon Monday and through Tuesday there is a risk of flooding from surface water and small watercourses, particularly in the west of the area.
"Most at risk are known trouble spots on the road network and possibly individual properties.
"Remain vigilant and remember, it is your responsibility to take actions which help protect yourself and your property.
"Advice and information is also available through Floodline on 0345 988 1188."
