There have been 146 new cases of Covid-19 reported in Scotland in the past 24 hours. 

According to Scottish Government statistics, there have been no new deaths in the same period. 

14,213 new tests for Covid-19 reported results – 1.1% of these were positive.

It means the death toll under the daily measure – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – remains at 7,660.

Yesterday, 175 new cases were reported, with 1 death. 

2,817,752 people have received the first dose of the covid vaccination and 1,297,664 have received their second dose

There were 67 people in hospital on Saturday with recently confirmed Covid-19, which was no change over 24 hours. Of these patients, nine were in intensive care, which was no change.

According to the latest data from Public Health Scotland, every local authority averaged fewer than 50 cases per 100,000 population at one point this week, which is a requirement for the easing of restrictions.
