Barry Ferguson hopes nephew Lewis follows in his footsteps and becomes a Rangers player in future.
Former Ibrox midfielder Fergy enjoyed a trophy-laden career in Glasgow and still holds a deep affinity for the club. Meanwhile his nephew continues to carve his own career with Aberdeen following a spell with Hamilton Accies as a kid.
Barry admits he'd be delighted to see another of the Ferguson's plying their trade for Gers after brother Derek also starred in light blue.
Though he expects the Dons midfield man to spend time working on his game at Pittodrie before any potential switch materialises.
"I don’t mind seeing him there of course," he told Go Radio. I still think he has got a lot of improvements to do, Lewis.
"Over the last couple of years he has matured and he has got an old head on young shoulders. He is willing to work really hard in his game but I’d love to see him at Rangers, of course, I would.
"That is one area of the Rangers team that Steven Gerrard will 100 per cent look to strengthen."
