Brendan Rodgers is set to step up his interest in Celtic's Odsonne Edouard this summer.
The Leicester City boss, and former Celtic manager, is hopeful of landing the Frenchman who has one year left on his current contract at Parkhead.
Edouard has made it clear he fancies challenging himself at a higher level and it has been reported that Arsenal are also interested in his situation.
But it is Rodgers, who signed the player for the Hoops from PSG for £9million back in 2018, who the Sunday Mail claim is now at the front of the queue.
With Celtic still without a manager it is unlikely any transfer will be sanctioned any time soon.
Eddie Howe, the current favourite for the role, will likely be given the opportunity to make his own decisions when he arrives in the job, should that be the case.
It will be part of a major overhaul for the club this summer.
