Tam McManus has urged Kieran Tierney to leave Arsenal as he has proven he is too good for them.

The former Celtic left-back has been a standout for the Gunners this season despite the club languishing in 10th position in the Premier League table.

Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal manager, has admitted in recent weeks he does fear for his future at the club after some dismal performances and results.

But it is Tierney that ex-Hibs striker McManus worries about the most. The Scotland cap, McManus claims, is better than Arsenal and could play for any club in the league.

And he should move on while he can. "I’d hate to be an Arsenal fan," McManus told PLZ Soccer.

"There is just nothing about them, they are spineless, honestly. Kieran Tierney needs to get out of there. For me, he is too good for Arsenal. Kieran Tierney can go and play for anybody in the Premier League, I genuinely mean that.

"Arsenal, for me, are a top-eight team or maybe a top-six team at best. He needs to get out of there and I think this summer, possibly a few bigger clubs in for him for bigger money and he can maybe move on.

"I think he is wasted there, he is too good for Arsenal."

KT cost Arsenal £25million and does still have three years remaining on his current deal, so it is likely Arsenal would want megabucks for the player should they even consider selling.
