A SERIAL shoplifter has been given a chance to be of good behaviour.
Emma Kelly appeared in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court last week after being caught stealing £18.75 worth of hair products from Home Bargains in Govan Shopping Centre.

The 30-year-old’s defence agent said his client had a history of theft, including multiple incidents in 2018 - what he said “one would hope” was her peak.
He added: “She’s had a relationship which is not devoid of difficulties which has led to a lot of offending in the past.
“While the relationship persists, she has her own secure tenancy which she can return to.”

Sheriff Price placed Kelly, of Arklet Road, on a structured deferred sentence until September 3 and told her to “keep up” her work in trying to steer clear of offending.
