Steven Pressley is back in football alongside son Aaron at Brentford.
Pressley senior will join The Bees on July 1 as head of individual development.
The role will see the former Falkirk and Coventry manager take on responsibility for ‘monitoring the individual development programme of Brentford’s high potential players’.
He also links up with former Celtic target Ivan Toney who recently hit a record Championship goal tally.
Pressley has been out of management since being sacked by Carlisle United in November 2019.
The former Celtic, Dundee United, Hearts and Scotland defender earned a reputation at Falkirk for bringing through promising young players, including Stephen Kingsley, Murray Wallace, Blair Alston, Jay Fulton and Craig Sibbald.
Brentford head coach Thomas Frank said: “I am looking forward to getting Steven in and working with him.
“He is a very experienced coach who thinks not only as a head coach but also in terms of the development of the team and of the players.
“He has experience of developing players over many years and his results are very impressive.
“We are looking forward to working with him and lifting the individual development of our players to another level, we want to be up there with the very best.”
Pressley’s son Aaron, 19, made his Brentford first-team debut in December.
