RESIDENTS in Pollokshields are organising a vigil in protest of the "inhumane policies" carried out by the Home Office during dawn raids.
Tomorrow, locals are being invited to stand on their own tenement stairwells on Kenmure Street at 12pm.
The Covid-safe protest will be held for one hour, ending at midday.

A letter sent to residents reads: "Many of us will never have been prouder to live here.
"But, we need to keep showing the Home Office that they can't get away with inhumane policies of dawn raids and forcibly removing families from their homes.
"The Home Office has been telling journalists that we're a "mob".
"We need to show them that we are simply a strong community of ordinary people, who just want to protect our neighbours and friends peacefully."
Those who wish to take part can are urged to make props to highlight the cause.

The letter adds: "Feel free to make a sign or banner or use chalk on the pavement to write a message of support to tell the Home Office that refugees and immigrants are welcome here on Kenmure Street.
"From a neighbour."
It comes after hundreds of locals blocked an immigration enforcement van from detaining two men on the same street yesterday morning.
During an eight-hour-long stand-off, chants including "open the door", "leave our neighbours", "let them go", were echoed until the two men - named Sumit Sehdev and Lakhvir Singh - were released.
Police Scotland have confirmed that three people were arrested during the demonstration.
Human rights lawyer Aamer Anwar is now representing the two men, who were released from the van and taken to a place of safety at a local mosque.
Meanwhile, a South Side councillor has urged those who attended the protest to get tested for coronavirus.
Mhairi Hunter, who is the area's SNP representative, said: "Very proud to be a South Sider.
"But also, everyone in Kenmure Street today needs to get a Covid test.
"Watch out for details of local testing centres or send away for one."
